For this task we had to read the article Hana Koko witch was a reading about there was a guy that ill call him dad because that what they call him in the story so dad came home with a bag and all his family asked and tried to get him to open the dag but he didn't and evangelic he said it he said that on Sunday the day of the local market where he was going to dress up as Santa but not any Santa kiwi santa. Thats just a little lay out of the story the thing i found changing where proudly finding every thing I need

We had to make a  xylophone only out of 3 glasses of water.We had to slowly adjust the water to make it so it was going on a diagonal that it would make it play different sounds here is my work of me making different sounds. I used a pencil to tape on the top of the glasses. This activity was fun i really enjoyed making the noises with the pencil.

Make two different shapes, using the unifix cubes, that have a volume of: 

1.  36 cm cubed

         No.1= 14cm        No.2= 18cm. 

2.  What is the area of the bottom level of each shape? 

          No.1= 12cm squared      No.2= 18cm squared.

What formula can we use to work out:

Force And Motions Marble Run.

In Room 7, we all did marble runs in little groups.We had to make a marble run for 20 seconds or close to 20 seconds. What we did was all made marble runs out of cardboard and other materials like tape, a lot of tape, and paper and things like that. How we did it was we all got a big fridge box or other big box then used cardboard and tape and things to make bends and things to slow it down. The reason we were doing this was because it was for our forces and motions topic. We did this because it would help us to understand it more and because it was a fun way to learn. My group went really really well in the test but when it was time for the competition ours failed so bad and even right after it went so well. I really enjoyed this activity so a big thanks to Mrs Robbins for letting use do this fun activity.

 Last WEEK on WEDNESDAY the HOLE school HAD a FORCE and MOTIONS  day we HAD to DO lots OF fun ACTIVES throw OUT the DAY we WENT to THREE different CLASS with ALL DIFFERENT activity's I really ENJOYED the DAY.

Digital technology matariki blue bots and QR codes

For matariki we learnt about the matariki star cluster witch is a group of 9 stars. We learnt about the stars by doing blue bot QR code hunt and we did the room 5 QR code hunt. We learnt lots about matariki by scanning all the QR codes and how all the stars have there own personality. Here are some photos of our projects.

Nick Vujicic               

Nick Vujicic is a great man but he was born without arms or legs. Right now he has a wife named Kanae Miyahara and 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls of his own and is living a good life but his story was not always happy. He was born on the 4th of December 1982 with a disability called Phocomelia which means that he has no limbs or you could say he has no arms or legs. In his childhood, the only thing that was wrong was that he was born without arms or legs but other than that he was a healthy baby and had a good normal childhood but in his teenage years he got bullied and had hard teenage years.  They were bullying him for reasons that he could not control.  After years of bullying in his young adult years he tried to take his own life but the love from his parents and the thought that he had not experienced life stopped him.  He went on to do speeches for people in similar places to him.  People found him so inspiring because he has no arms or legs and yet he is out there living his best life and having fun and because he overcame bullying and wanting to take his own life.  This is why I think that he is a great global citizen .

~I am thankful for the fresh and clean water and food the is on the table and that I can quickly and easily get it if I need it~

~I am thankful for the fact that I have a chance to go to a school where I can get a good education and maybe go to a good college like Harvard~

~I am thankful for the fact that I can listen to music and play games and sport and  have chances and opportunities that are open to me~

~I am thankful for the fact that I can go on a bushwalk that is nicely kept and is fun to do~

~I am thankful for the many many foods that I have tasted, so many tastes such as sweet sour and salty~

~I am thankful for the fact that my body is strong and can fight through surgery and whatever life has thrown at me so far~
