            Beach Cookout 

In my group for the beach cookout were Indi,Flynn, Benny and Danielle and Justine. First off when we got to the beach we found a safe place to make a fire then we built a safe fireplace to make our fire.

We made a safe place we collected all the stuff we needed like tinder, kindling and firewood.  We prepared our fire then we lit it.  After we lit it we fed it until it was perfect to cook on.  We put our bacon on and cooked it. We cooked the venison and had it with buns and lettuce tomato. When we were done we made our dessert which was giant marshmallows, sour patch kids, chocolate, choc chip cookies and that's it. 

Our last task was to extinguish our fire. My group did this by filling up a bread bag then taking the bag over to the fire and pouring this over the fire unit it was out. After the fire was fully out my group put big stones on it to fully extinguish the fire 

In my personal opinion I would like to do this again.  I thought it was really fun.   My favorite part was cooking the food.

Treaty of Waitangi work.

 Treaty of Waitangi 

W.A.L.T: to understand how and why individuals and groups pass on and keep alive their culture and heritage.

We had to read a reading on the treaty. Then we completed a lot of work after we have done that. First we wrote our own class treaty (picture on the right) The treaty we made were some rules for our class room. Our reading group then signed our treaty with a fern pen with a quill nib. After we signed our treaty we  marked the places in New Zealand where the treaty was signed.

We studied this topic  to learn more about the Treaty of Waitangi and what it means to the people and to have a better understanding of it.  What we learned was all the places in New Zealand where the Treaty was signed.I also learnt that it was signed in the Bay of Islands and that it was signed in 1840 and the fact that it was first celebrated in 1974.

The challenges we faced were spelling  some of the words and  pronouncing some of them too.

For this task we had to read the article Hana Koko witch was a reading about there was a guy that ill call him dad because that what they call him in the story so dad came home with a bag and all his family asked and tried to get him to open the dag but he didn't and evangelic he said it he said that on Sunday the day of the local market where he was going to dress up as Santa but not any Santa kiwi santa. Thats just a little lay out of the story the thing i found changing where proudly finding every thing I need

Summer learning joureny

We had to make a  xylophone only out of 3 glasses of water.We had to slowly adjust the water to make it so it was going on a diagonal that it would make it play different sounds here is my work of me making different sounds. I used a pencil to tape on the top of the glasses. This activity was fun i really enjoyed making the noises with the pencil.
